Cheney Beshara is a painter and digital artist in Los Angeles whose artistic style combines bold colors, abstract shapes, and portraiture inspired by nature. She has been painting professionally for 10 years and her work has been featured at Art Attack SF Gallery, Art Explosion Studios, Philz Coffee, BebeBar, iCracked HQ, Whistle HQ, and in homes and spaces all over North America.
Cheney lives in Santa Monica, California, with her husband, two daughters, dachshund, and bunnies. When she’s not in the studio or hanging out with her family, she’s likely in the ocean.

ABOUT “TOWER 24” SERIES
“Tower 24” is my latest series of art that is hand-painted and collaged on paper — and matted and framed in birch wood. The series came about after moving to the beach and learning to surf at Tower 24 in Santa Monica (right on the border of Santa Monica and Venice).
Perhaps more than any other activity I have enjoyed, surfing makes me feel alive (so cliché but there really is no other way to articulate it), and I wanted to convey that “alive” feeling in this art with use of vibrant colors and directional brush strokes.
Just like surfing was something new for me, this art process of scraping and collaging is new in my art — and in addition, more free flowing than my more traditional paintings. Overall, I hope this artwork speaks not just to surfers, but to everyone who finds the beauty in the courage that it takes to try something new, knowing you will wipe out, over and over again, but that the possibility to dance on water is worth it all.
The artwork comes framed and ready to hang and display. You can purchase as one (for a gallery wall, mantle, shelf, dresser) or you can pick and choose your favorites to make a triptych or group — which is my intention with these dimension. So feel free to ask me if you want a recommendation!
